PD16 Juneteenth Committee Announces 5th Annual Celebration and Job Fair for June 14 in Fredericksburg

An extraordinary lineup of free entertainment, education, and community activities to take place at VA Credit Union Stadium

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - May 1, 2025 - The PD16 Juneteenth Celebration Committee today announced that it will be presenting the 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration and Job Fair. For the third consecutive year, the event will take place at the Virginia Credit Union Stadium, home of the Fredericksburg Nationals, 42 Jackie Robinson Way, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 2 PM to 9 PM Admission is free.

The family-friendly celebration of culture, community, and opportunity features entertainment, education, and community enrichment activities. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment, performances by local musicians, dancers, and spoken-word artists, exhibits, and products from 100+ local vendors. There will be a family fun zone with games, face painting, and children’s activities. The evening will culminate with a live music concert and a spectacular fireworks finale to mark the historic day.

As people commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States, the annual event is an invitation to acknowledge history, celebrate culture, foster unity, and find empowerment. Educational and cultural exhibits at the celebration will highlight the significance of Juneteenth through interactive displays. The day features additional special ceremonies and performances, such as the Mr. and Miss Juneteenth 2025 Scholarship Presentation in partnership with Tomorrow's Cultivating Youth.

The PD16 Juneteenth Committee consists of volunteers from G3 Community Services, ACT ENOUGH, Fredericksburg Alphas, and Fredericksburg Sigmas.
