LOS ANGELES, CA – Following newly published health data indicating sustained increases in mental health disorders and substance use across Los Angeles County, Invigorate Behavioral Health Counseling Center has expanded its outpatient treatment offerings at its facility located at 5723 Melrose Avenue.
The decision follows the February 2025 release of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s “Methamphetamine Misuse and Consequences Data Brief,” which reported a continued rise in methamphetamine-related hospitalizations. Alongside this, additional county reports have documented persistent levels of opioid-related incidents and growing demand for accessible mental health services. The department’s estimates indicate that approximately 20 percent of adults in the county report symptoms consistent with a diagnosable mental health condition each year.
In response, Invigorate Behavioral Health has increased its clinical capacity across three primary programs: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and standard outpatient therapy. These services are designed to provide tiered care for individuals managing a range of mental health conditions, with or without co-occurring substance use disorders.

Each program is based on individualized care plans developed through clinical assessments at admission.
Situated in the Melrose area of central Los Angeles, the facility serves an urban population affected by overlapping behavioral health challenges, including limited access to long-term care. While public investments have increased across the county, service availability remains inconsistent at the neighborhood level. The Melrose corridor, part of the Hollywood-Wilshire Health District, has been flagged in recent years for higher-than-average rates of behavioral health-related emergency visits and limited treatment access.
The county’s health department reports that methamphetamine misuse in particular has become a significant contributor to emergency room admissions and treatment demand. Between 2023 and 2024, hospitalizations linked to methamphetamine use increased markedly across several service planning areas, prompting calls for scalable outpatient care that can intervene earlier in the treatment continuum.
Invigorate Behavioral Health’s expansion aligns with this public health direction. The organization offers specialized care pathways for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Programs are designed to reduce emergency service utilization by offering structured, outpatient alternatives that accommodate varying levels of clinical need.
