Join author and WIRED journalist Andy Greenberg, CSO Rinki Sethi, and security expert Rick Howard at the intersection of open source and security on September 25th

Bitwarden, the trusted security leader for passwords, secrets, and passkey management, today announced the sixth annual Open Source Security Summit will take place on September 25, 2025. Headline speakers for this event include Andy Greenberg, senior writer at WIRED; Upwind Security CSO and former Twitter CISO, Rinki Sethi; and Rick Howard, President of the Cybersecurity Canon Project and former Palo Alto Networks CSO. The Summit brings together business leaders, industry visionaries, and technology users to chart a path forward and highlight the future of open source security solutions at this free virtual event.

About the Open Source Security Summit

The Open Source Security Summit is a forum to explore the intersection of open source and security. Building on the success of the previous five Summits, which have featured renowned speakers including Steve Wozniak, Kevin Mitnick, Nicole Perlroth, Bruce Schneier, Brian Krebs, Eva Galperin, and Mikko Hypponen, this year's event will continue the conversation with cross-industry experts and dive deeper into why open source solutions lead to better security measures and build customer trust.

Since launching in 2020, the Open Source Security Summit has evolved from focusing on cybersecurity and credential management to covering broader open source security strategies, with business stakeholders and developers sharing tactics to make security accessible to both technical and non-technical teams.
