Danu Venture Group Welcomes Three New General Partners to Launch Fund II

Danu Venture Group, an early-stage firm investing in transformative digital and physical infrastructure technologies, is pleased to announce the appointment of three new General Partners: Vice Admiral (Ret.) Mat Winter, Allison Binns, PhD., and Michael Dubilier. These additions strengthen Danu’s leadership across defense innovation, private equity, and sustainable investing as the firm scales Fund II.

Mat Winter joins Danu following a 35-year career in the U.S. Navy, culminating as Program Executive Officer of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office — the largest Federal acquisition program in history. He previously served as the 24th Chief of Naval Research and has held senior roles across unmanned systems, cyber-physical integration, and advanced weapons programs. His experience will directly inform Danu’s investments across autonomous systems, advanced compute, and national security technologies.

Allison Binns is a sustainable finance expert, most recently serving as Partner and Global Head of Sustainable Investing Strategy at Angelo Gordon (now TPG). Previously, Allison was Head of Sustainable Investing Research for Fixed Income at Morgan Stanley and a senior advisor at Chevron. At Danu, Allison will lead firm-building initiatives and support portfolio operations and diligence.

Michael Dubilier brings over four decades of experience across private equity and infrastructure. A former partner at Drexel Burnham Lambert and Clayton Dubilier & Rice, and founder of Dubilier & Company, Michael has a long track record of executing acquisitions and building durable value. He will lead strategy and execution efforts across Danu’s portfolio.

“Admiral Winter’s leadership in technology innovation, Dr. Binns’s organizational and institutional insight, and Michael’s track record in portfolio value creation each bring essential capabilities to our platform,” said Max Brown, Co-Founder of Danu.

“Together, they deepen our ability to partner with founders building critical infrastructure at the intersection of national interest and technological change,” added Co-Founder Ryan Coughlin, “It’s the right team for the mandate we’ve committed to.”
