Annual holiday event celebrates residents and patients with gifts and family activities
Today Kline Galland, a non-profit senior care organization, announced plans to relaunch its popular Mother’s Day program after being limited for the past few years by COVID-19 restrictions. Mother’s Day is a highly treasured holiday at Kline Galland, as it encapsulates the organization’s emphasis on caring for our elders and celebrating intergenerational relationships.
The 2023 Mother’s Day program at the Kline Galland Home and the Mary Schwartz Summit will include a catered brunch, a professional photographer, gifts, entertainment, music and more. Loved ones can support the celebration at a variety of donor levels and feel comfortable knowing that 100% of their contribution goes directly to providing the highest level of care for Kline Galland patients and residents.
“Our goal on Mother’s Day is to ensure that every mother, grandmother, and great grandmother under our roof feels loved, recognized, and cared for,” said Marc Bridge, Committee Chair for Kline Galland. “We are so fortunate to have an amazing community of families, sponsors and donors who made this relaunch possible, and would like to thank each of them for helping us celebrate these amazing women.”
Kline Galland is a Seattle-based organization that has been at the forefront of senior care since 1914, when it opened as a Jewish Home for the Aged in Seward Park with seven residents. As a senior-care health facility with more than a century of experience and a deeply engrained mission, Kline Galland has become a well-recognized resource for its community.
Today, Kline Galland is a fully evolved health care organization that provides senior care to residents wherever they are in King County. In all, the organization has nearly 750 employees and provides care for more than 15,000 patients, residents and family members a year. Residents at Kline Galland have an average age of 85 years old, with more residents over the ago of 100 than under the age of 70.
“Kline Galland’s foundation was built upon honoring the relationship we have with our parents, so it feels very appropriate to be eagerly planning for our Mother’s Day celebration once again,” said Bridge. “The outpouring of support we’ve seen is truly humbling and we are thrilled to give our residents, patients, and families another reason to smile.”
The Mother’s Day program has been sponsored by a collection of companies and individual donors including Joy and Chai Mann, :At Present, Goldman Sachs, Penelope & The Beauty Bar, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Pamela & Edward Bridge, Andrea Selig, and many other supporters.
