The Private Moment That Sparked a Public Mission
The ESA Homeschooling Family Circle began not in an office or a strategy meeting, but in a quiet, vulnerable moment between Arizona entrepreneur Bryan Templin and his daughter, Willow.
“One afternoon, Willow looked at me and said, almost under her breath, ‘Dad, sometimes it feels like my body is fighting me.’ She wasn’t complaining—she was trying not to burden anyone,” Templin recalls.
It was the kind of moment that changes a parent. But what reshaped Templin’s entire vision for education was what Willow said next.
“She told me, ‘There are kids who have it way worse than me.’ Hearing that from my little girl… it stopped me cold. She wasn’t focused on her own pain—she was thinking about other children.”
A Deeper Realization
Templin says that moment exposed a truth he could no longer ignore.
“If Willow is struggling, how many other children are dealing with things no one sees? And who is standing up for their parents?”
Then came the realization that shook him: the families barely getting by, the children with disabilities slipped through the cracks, and the child in a wheelchair being bullied in public school—ignored, forgotten, unprotected. “That thought shook me to my core,” he says.
Building a System for Families Who Feel Invisible
Determined to remove the barriers preventing families from accessing educational freedom, Templin built what is now one of Arizona’s most comprehensive ESA support systems.
“We’re not just helping parents with paperwork — we’re helping children reclaim their potential.”
A Founder Shaped by Adversity
“I know what it means to slip through the cracks,” Templin says. “So when I saw families being left behind because the system was confusing, I knew I had to build something better.”
A Growing Movement of Empowered Families
Parents describe the ESA Homeschooling Family Circle as transformative. One mother shared: “My child went from drowning in public school to thriving at home.”
