(“ProChem”), a leading provider of industrial and commercial water and wastewater treatment service headquartered in Elliston, Virginia. ProChem will become part of the Sylmar Water Treatment family of companies - joining EAI Water, Clearwater Industries, R2J Chemical Services, and Eastern Technologies Inc. - as Sylmar continues to grow its leading nationwide network of local, technical, and customer-focused water treatment providers.
Founded in 1999, ProChem Water has grown into one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier providers of water treatment, engineered water reuse and wastewater treatment solutions. The company serves industrial, municipal, and commercial clients across North America. Through its state-of-the-art facility and team of skilled engineers and technicians, ProChem specializes in solving complex water problems by delivering custom-built systems, proprietary chemical blends, and best-in-class service and operations that improve long-term water efficiency, reduce discharge, and ensure ongoing compliance.
This acquisition marks Sylmar’s further expansion into the Southeastern United States, home to the largest network of data centers in the United States, as well as further expanding its focus on custom engineered water and wastewater treatment equipment and related services, enhancing its ability to deliver Total Water Solutions that integrate design, equipment, chemicals, and service across its portfolio. The partnership will allow Sylmar to pair ProChem’s deep technical, engineering, and fabrication expertise with the field experience, service, and chemical blending capabilities of its existing operating companies—creating a vertically integrated platform focused on providing innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective water treatment technologies to clients nationwide.
