Cal Maine Foods' Earnings Rise

Cal Maine Foods Inc. (Nasdaq: CALM) posted sharply higher second quarter profits of $1.69 per share compared with 27 cents per share in the year ago period as egg prices set new record highs.  Shares of the egg producer soared $1.47 to close at $27.32.
