Earnings Double For Newmont Mining

Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE: NEM) reported third quarter earnings that doubled to 88 cents per share from 44 cents per share a year earlier due to one time gains.  Shares of the world's largest producer of gold soared $4.46 to close at $50.90.
